Our Narratives: Part 2

As humans, we are storytellers. We recount our experiences through written work, gossip, in therapy, with people we trust, and in podcasts. We are very good at telling ourselves narratives as well. 

This was the focus of our most recent Healing Every Day Podcast episode. Sometimes we get caught up in creating scenarios that have ultimately not happened or are not true. The emotional response in incredibly real and we create thoughts that lead to behaviors. Not one person is bad for their narratives, something I have worked on for years in my own therapeutic journey. However I am in a place now where 
I want awareness when I ask myself the questions:

"Is this narrative true? Does it serve me in a healthy, creative, and productive way?"
